The Friends of Orford Museum

The Friends of Orford Museum are an active body of supporters of the Museum.

They raise funds to pay for the display and conservation of the collection and
volunteers are responsible for stewarding the Museum during the tourist season.

The promotion of interest in, and the study of, the history of Orford and the
surrounding area is a major aim of the Friends. Occasional lectures and outings
are organised and there are regular social events.

In 2003 the first issue of the Orford and District Local History Bulletin
was published. There are two issues a year. For details of articles published so far, see Publications
