The Friends of Orford Museum is an active body of supporters of the Museum. They raise funds to pay for the display and conservation of the collection and towards the running costs of the museum. Volunteers are responsible for stewarding in the museum during the tourist season.
Members receive regular Newsletters with details of lectures and an annual outing. There are regular social events.
The promotion of interest in the the history of Orford and the surrounding area is a major aim of the Friends. The first issue of the Orford and District Local History Bulletin containing a wide variety of original articles on local history was published in 2003. There are two issues a year.
